Rudyard Kipling’s The Jungle Book Comes to The Ridgefield Playhouse in A Live Musical Performance on April 6

The musical version of Rudyard Kipling’s classic, The Jungle Book comes to The Ridgefield Playhouse for a live performance on Saturday, April 6 at 1pm. Join young Mowgli as he learns the “laws” of the jungle with the help of friends like the black panther, Bagheera, and Baloo, the lovable bear. This show, performed by Virginia Rep on Tour, is part of the Ridgefield Academy Family Series with support from Hamlet Hub, sponsored by Dr. Blaine Langberg, Orthodontist, and partially underwritten by Books on the Common, South Salem Animal Hospital & Noah’s Ark Animal Hospital. This dynamic musical adventure will delight both young and young at heart and is truly one of the “Bear Necessities” of childhood. In this story about friendship and survival, young Mowgli faces his fear and foils his nemesis the tiger, Shere Khan. Parents are encouraged to have kids read the book then compare it to the stage play for lively discussion. Books are available at Books on the Common on Main Street in Ridgefield.
