Pamby Ridgefield Half Announces 7 Mile Option, Benefits Boys & Girls Club of Ridgefield

Pamby Ridgefield Half Marathon Celebrates 43rd Year with New 7 Mile Option

Celebrating its 43rd year, registration is now open for the Pamby Ridgefield Half Marathon, which will be held on Sunday, September 22nd at 7:45 AM. New this year will be an option for a 7-mile course to be held concurrently with the 13.1 mile half marathon.

The iconic race will feature the popular start and finish area at the Boys & Girls Club of Ridgefield at 41 Governor Street, providing a “race central” for participants and spectators. The race will be lead again this year by a vehicle from Pamby Motors, the title sponsor.

Race central will feature live music, food and beer (21+) for all finishers, and area for all to celebrate the accomplishments of the day.

“The Boys & Girls Club of Ridgefield is excited to host the Ridgefield Half Marathon again this year. Having a 7-mile option for the race will provide an opportunity for even more people to visit our facilities and grounds, which provide a place for Ridgefield’s students to participate in our award-winning youth programming. The race directly relates to one of our core values for sports, fitness and recreation, and we are excited to be the host for its 43rd year,” says Mike Flynn, BGCR’s Executive Director.

Registration for the Pamby Ridgefield Half Marathon is available now at www.ridgefieldhalf.com. With limited slots for the 7-mile option, registration will fill quickly. VIP entries are available, gaining entrants preferred parking.

The classic “two-loop lollipop” course of the half marathon (the 7-miler option will do one loop) will wind through the streets of south Ridgefield, featuring cheer zones and music to inspire runners.

The course is spectator-friendly, giving friends and family multiple opportunities to cheer racers along the way. All finishers will receive an exclusive medal and a premium long-sleeve tech t-shirt.
