Ridgefield Bluegrass Coffeehouse Kick Off on June 15

First-of-its-kind Bluegrass Coffeehouse to Kick Off on Saturday, June 15 in Ridgefield

The First Congregational Church of Ridgefield (FCC) has become well known over the years for excellence in providing outstanding musical programs. FCC plans to expand on this success by offering a regularly scheduled “FCC Bluegrass Coffeehouse”, with its first Open Bluegrass Jam to occur on Saturday June 15th, from 7:00-10:00 pm. Bluegrass music, a distinctly American musical genre, has significant historical Christian and Appalachian roots. Bluegrass jams, steeped in years of tradition, are communal events that draw people of all ages to make music together.

This Coffeehouse will take advantage of the newly renovated “Lund Hall” with ample capacity to create a safe, social,  musical atmosphere. The musical entertainment begins with bands On the Trail and the Angry O'Haras followed by an open jam session. Admission is $10 per person and $5 for performing musicians. Beverages and light snacks will be available for sale. The First Congregational Church plans to offer up this opportunity on a monthly basis for bluegrass musicians and music lovers where food, drink and a casual fun environment will be on display!
