Keeler Tavern Museum & History Center (KTMHC) Announces Watermelon Fest & Grand Opening of Visitor Center on July 4 from 12 noon - 3 PM 

Celebrate the Nation's and KTM&HC's birthdays with a fun, family event! This event is free. 
 
Grand Opening of the Visitor Center! Tour our new Visitor Center featuring an elegant reception area and learn about the future Collections Storage & Research Facility on the lower level.
 
Watermelon Fest celebration includes:
 
Dramatic reading of the Declaration of Independence & ceremonial slicing of a watermelon
Free Museum tours & hear the story of the Cannonball
Free watermelon for all
King George's Dunk Tank
Lawn games & crafts
Live music on the terrace with the Angry O’Haras
Museum Gift Shop
Food trucks
 
Also enjoy an art show in the historic Cass Gilbert Carriage Barn “Red, White and Blue!” with 30 artists from Tina Phillips’ Founders Hall art class. 
 
Opening reception: Friday, June 28, 5 - 8 pm.
