Chekhov Theatre Festival invites you to Make Your Own Party!

The Michael Chekhov Theatre Festival announces their summer fundraiser, Make Your Own Party, an evening of cabaret with Pamme Jones Saturday, July 13, at 7:00 pm.

Directed by Wendy Scherl, with Musical Direction by Lisa Riggs Hobbs, Make Your Own Party will be a night of story and song punctuated by Pamme Jones’ trademark exuberant and playful wit and off-the-cuff commentary. With special guests Duane Lanham and Erik Tonner, along with her accompanying trio of Tom Morris (conductor and keyboards), Charles Casamiro (bass), and Nate Dobas (Percussion), she will present a sassy evening of sultry torch songs and irreverent, bawdy songs, along with standards, show tunes and originals mixed together to create the perfect signature mix.

A benefit for the Michael Chekhov Theatre Festival, the event includes appetizers, desserts, drinks, and a silent auction. This year's festival celebrates its eleventh year and show dates will be October 18 and 19. Inspired by the innovative, imagination-based technique of Michael Chekhov, the festival is dedicated to discovering and welcoming original artists, presenting their creative work and offering sanctuary to experiment and explore new theatre in Ridgefield which has become a thriving theatrical hub. A nephew of famed playwright Anton Chekhov, Michael Chekhov (1891-1955) achieved fame in his own right as an actor/director/author who relocated his dramatic arts school from England to Ridgefield in 1939 in a barn off North Salem Road.

The Ridgefield Theater Barn is located at 37 Halpin Lane in Ridgefield. Tickets for the event are $50 and can be purchased at ridgefieldtheatrebarn.org.
