Keep Hydrated and Attend Summerfest
With temperatures expected to soar above 100 degrees this Saturday and at least one town (Bethel) canceling their Summerfest celebration on Saturday, we checked in with Ridgefield Chamber Executive Director, Kim Bova to find out what was cooking (pun).
"We are a GO and will still have a party!" says Bova, who did say that she has made every effort to move vendor tables and tents to shady areas. "Some tents will be giving away water bottles, but anyone attending should be prepared [for the heat] and plan to stay hydrated," she said.
The community-wide event features shopping, live music and entertainment in Ballard Park, and a pop-up art gallery in St. Stephen's North Hall.
