In addition to the fitness classes, Nuvance Health (formerly Western Connecticut Network) professionals will be on hand with information on avoiding injuries while working out, the warning signs of stroke, the Cancer Center at Danbury Hospital, preventing diabetes and more. Adam Broderick Salon & Spa, the title sponsor of the Whole New You Series, will have a staff member on hand to give chair massages and a hair stylist there to do fun braids! Community Sponsors will be set up surrounding the spin bikes where participants will be able to try nutritious, delicious food from Nature’s Temptations; learn about meditation, reiki, yoga, massage and psychic training from local businesses including Grow Wellness Therapy, MindBody Mastery and Susi Laura Massage; discover the role that CDB and supplements can play in wellness with The Pharm Stand, Isagenix and others; and get information about local sports medicine practice Orthopaedic Specialists of Connecticut and Interventional Pain Management.

Proceeds from Rock, Ride & Run will benefit the The Leir Foundation Arts for Everyone program, which helps make the performing arts available to economically disadvantaged residents of Fairfield County and surrounding communities who cannot afford the cost of admission, even at reduced rates. The Playhouse was founded in the belief that the arts can and do make a difference in the lives of people, and that accessibility to the arts should not be limited by one’s ability to pay. Arts for Everyone works with a wide range of non-profit organizations including ABC, Ability Beyond, Danbury Youth Services, Family and Children’s Aid, Grassroots Tennis, Mental Health Associates of CT and the Out and About Club. The Arts for Everyone outreach program also donates free tickets to Title 1 Schools and provides busing for the students to attend our Arts in Education programming. Our title sponsor for this program, The Leir Foundation, is a charitable organization that was founded by Henry Leir and his wife Erna, who came to this country in 1938 and settled in Ridgefield in 1954. Henry Leir was a philanthropist and The Foundation continues the Leirs’ charitable legacy.
