Ridgefield's 20th Annual Holiday Stroll Lineup of Activities and Events

Downtown Ridgefield is getting the sleigh in motion for the 20th Annual Holiday Stroll which will take place on Friday, December 6 from 6 to 10 pm and Saturday, December 7 from 9am to 8pm.

Can you believe it? Two decades of strolling in downtown Ridgefield! Our quintessential town turns into a Norman Rockwell painting as with horse-drawn carriages, musical performances, strolling carolers, and Toy Soldiers, ice-sculpting, local store promotions, and much more take place throughout the downtown area.

Ridgefield Holiday Stroll Scavenger Hunt (Friday and Saturday).

Using the social media platform, Instagram, post selfies at different Holiday Stroll locations with the hashtag #RidgeScavHunt19! The locations will be available in the Stroll program, but if you enjoy listening to all holiday singing groups, you'll be one step ahead! Prizes will be awarded to the individuals with the most hashtagged selfies!!

A holiday scene to behold is the one here, dancers on display inside the large window of Ridgefield Conservatory of Dance dressed in costumes from their upcoming performance of The Nutcracker. You can purchase tickets to this magical performance on the Ridgefield Playhouse website HERE.

Friday evening

Throughout downtown: horse-drawn carriages, musical performances, strolling carolers, and Toy Soldiers, ice-sculpting, local store promotions.

- Robust 7 will be performing at Ridgefield Library (Ridgefield Music Matters). 

- Ridgefield Holiday Stroll Scavenger Hunt (see details above).

- Christmas at the Keeler Tavern from 5 to 9pm. This free family event takes place in the festively decorated Keeler Tavern, where there will be an "I SPY" game for kids, hot drinks, and refreshments.

- The Lions Club invites you to the Lounsbury House to write "Letters to the Troops" from 6 to 9pm. 

- The Lounsbury House is hosting not-for-profits

- Ridgefield Chorale sings from 7:00 to 9:30 pm

- Life Ice Sculpting (by Prime Burger)

- Blanket Drive: scouts collect blankets for Dorothy Day Hospitality House at Tazza (more here)

Saturday

Throughout downtown: horse-drawn carriages, musical performances, strolling carolers, and Toy Soldiers, ice-sculpting, local store promotions.

- One of the Holiday Stroll highlights, Breakfast with Santa will take place on Saturday, December 7 from 8am to noon at the Boys & Girls Club of Ridgefield, CT. The festive morning includes, breakfast, arts & crafts, holiday cookie decorating and of course, photos with Santa! Tickets are on sale now HERE ($10 for adults, $8 for children, with a $40 family max).

- The Ridgefield Rotary Club will host an Amber Alert Registration at Boys & Girls Club of Ridgefield from 8am to noon (in conjunction with Breakfast with Santa).

- Ugly Sweater Saturday, sponsored by Craig's Fine Jewelry). Downtown merchants will don their favorite ugly holiday sweater and invite you to do the same! Prizes will be awarded to community members. If you are interested in being part of the Ugly Sweater extravaganza, click HERE to sign up (please note: you need to be in front of Fairfield County Bank Insurance Services between 2pm and 3pm for the contest!)
