The Boys & Girls Club of Ridgefield, in collaboration with the Ridgefield Prevention Council, is hosting a 4 part series titled ‘Candid Conversations.’
The first session of this series, which is going to focus on the effects of substance abuse, will be held on Wednesday, December 11th, from 7pm - 9pm at the Boys & Girls Club. This session will provide high school-aged students the chance to learn first hand how addiction can change a person's life.
The Ridgefield Prevention Council will be providing us with guest speakers, on girl and one boy who battled with addiction, to share their stories and path with drug and alcohol abuse.
This open interaction will be for only teenagers grades 9-12, and it will offer them both the chance to mingle with the speakers, and time to ask them questions relating to their path with addiction, and about addiction in general.
Dinner will also be provided for those who attend.
