Ridgefield Symphony and Ridgefield Guild Art Exhibit at Sarah's Wine Bar on March 15

The RSO and RGA have been working on a unique and exciting collaboration that blends the worlds of musical composition and abstract painting. The project was inspired by “Disquiet”—a composition by Sarah Kirkland Snider, which was performed by the RSO at its October 2019 concert. At the concert, Snider met with members of RGA’s Abstract 11 painting group, who then began the process of creating visual art inspired by her piece.

The collaboration is culminating in a curated exhibit to open at Sarah’s Wine Bar (20 West Lane, Ridgefield, CT) on Sunday, March 15th with a public reception from 3:00-5:00 PM. All are invited to attend! The exhibit will remain on display from the opening through early May and the pieces will be offered for sale.

“We are extremely excited to help present the work theRidge RGA artists have created”, says RSO Executive Director Laurie Kenagy. “The RSO is excited about collaborating with other arts and cultural organizations, and this is great example of what those collaborations can yield.”

Please join us on March 15th to celebrate this marvelous collaboration between two Ridgefield non-profit arts organizations. For information on the Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra, visit ridgefieldsymphony.org. For information on the Ridgefield Guild of Artists, visit rgoa.org.
