Ridgefield Symphony Cancels April 4 History Concert at RHS

As we consider the growing body of information on the Covid-19 virus, the expanding health concerns, and the precautions recommended by experts and authorities, we have made the decision to cancel the Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra “History” concert scheduled for Saturday, April 4th at Ridgefield High School.

We are sure you understand our concern for both our audience members and musicians, and can appreciate this prudent response to these extraordinary circumstances.

We plan to reschedule the premiere of “A More Perfect Union” as part of our first concert in the 2020-21 season this fall.  There will be more information on that concert when we announce our upcoming season in April.

We will credit our subscribers with a concert as part of their 2020-21 subscription purchase and offer purchasers of single tickets to “History” a credit for any concert during the 2020-21 season.  Alternatively, we will be most grateful if you will consider your ticket purchase for "History" a donation to the RSO annual campaign that will assist us in our financial planning for our 2020-21 season.  If you would like to do so, please respond to this email, and we will gladly provide a tax receipt for your donation.

While we will not see you for a concert in April, we thank you for your support of the RSO.  We appreciate your attendance at events and your financial contributions.  You make it possible for the RSO to present marvelous orchestral music – enriching the lives of those in Ridgefield and the surrounding communities.

With regard to our April 18th fundraiser—STUDIO55—we have not made any decision to postpone that event.  We will keep you abreast of any change should that event need to be postponed.  We also invite you all to join us on June 12th or 13th for Beauty & the Beast—our collaboration with ACT of CT and The Ridgefield Playhouse—as we bring Broadway to Ridgefield!

Thank you again for your understanding and support!
