Ridgefield Playhouse Box Office OPEN, Future Shows On Sale!

As you now know our curtains are down and our doors are closed for the time being. I just wanted to reach out and THANK YOU for being a valued customer and partner with us as we navigate through this difficult time. I wanted to update all of you as to what’s going on:

  • RIGHT NOW All shows through the end of May are being rescheduled. For those of you who have tickets to any of these shows, you will soon be getting an email followed up by a phone call. Be patient with us, we’re talking about more than 60 shows - that’s 30,000 patrons - we need to get in touch with.
  • Our box office is currently open. Our wonderful box office staff is spread out for social distancing (one person is actually IN the box office and the other is working from another location in the theater) and they will be working on limited hours - open from 10am-4pm. If you have any questions please call during those hours.
  • FUTURE SHOWS ARE ON SALE!!! Guess what? You can still buy tickets on our website for shows that are in the late summer and fall (as well as 2021)! If you are not sure if you will be around then, we are also selling gift certificates online as well. We ENCOURAGE you to do so so that we can maintain some income over the next few months.
  • Please follow us on Facebook as we are live streaming some of our musician and performer friends who have been so incredible about keeping the arts alive out there. In fact, we are collaborating with ACT of Connecticut and this Friday at 8pm we will be presenting an amazing ORIGINAL live stream show. Please tune into our Facebook page to see some of Ridgefield’s incredible entertainers, who also happen to have national acclaim as well (I mean we’re talking Stephen Schwartz, Debbie Gravitte and more)! You’ll love it!
The bottom line is WE’RE HERE. And we are, as we always have been, dedicated to the performing arts. Now more than ever it is evident how important music and the performing arts are to our lives. They nourish us in a different way - they nourish our soul. And when times get a little scary, and feel out of control, like they are right now - we need that. We will continue to keep you informed and we will continue to get music, comedy, theater and all aspects of the arts out to you - whether its via sharing a live stream on Facebook or some other way.

We are asking everyone who gets this email to send $10 now to help us through this time where we will have two months of no operating income. And of course, that can always change- but hopefully, it won’t. We want to keep the Playhouse here so that, in good times or bad, we can continue to nourish your soul. As our friend Harvey Fierstein said: “First you do what’s right, then you do what’s fabulous.” Our curtains will rise again. Please be here when they do.

Thank you again for being part of our Playhouse family.

Please consider making a donation and supporting the arts in Ridgefield here.
