Tonight's Drive-in Movie at Ridgefield High School Postponded!

Due to the forecast of rain and wind, the Field of Dreams Drive-in Movie at Ridgefield High School has been postponed until July 5 at 9pm

While Ridgefield doesn’t have a permanent drive-in movie theater, Billy Craig, owner of Craig’s Fine Jewelry, has found a way to create a temporary one. Join us at The Ridgefield High School parking lot starting at 9pm every Saturday night throughout the month of June.

Rounding out the June drive-in movies is “Field of Dreams” – When Iowa farmer Ray (Kevin Costner) hears a mysterious voice one night in his cornfield saying “If you build it, he will come,” he feels the need to act. Despite taunts of lunacy, Ray builds a baseball diamond on his land, supported by his wife, Annie (Amy Madigan). Afterward, the ghosts of great players start emerging from the crops to play ball, led by “Shoeless” Joe Jackson. But, as Ray learns, this field of dreams is about much more than bringing former baseball greats out to play.

All of the films are FREE and will be on a first-come, first-served basis.

Audio will be available through your car radio. To hear the audio, tune your radio to 1630AM.

This event is FREE and will be on a first-come, first-served basis with the "Drive-in" lot (please use the entrance off of Route 116) opening at 8pm.  Although this is town run event, more information can be found on The Ridgefield Playhouse website www.ridgefieldplayhouse.org
