The Aldrich announced today that they will be launching two new family-oriented initiatives for the month of July. Thank you to The Aldrich for inspiring creativity in ALL. The Museum has partnered with Danbury Grassroots Academy to provide free Creative Kits to their summer students who participate in the free, year-round program emphasizing education, character, tennis, and healthy through serving at-risk area youth.
Free Virtual Family Program
Starting on July 6, the Museum be hosting a free virtual family program each weekday for families with children of all ages. The theme of each week day’s content will remain the same, Mondays are Mindfulness and Movement Workshops, Tuesdays are Poetry Workshops, Wednesdays are Art-Making Workshops, Thursdays are Story Times, and Fridays are Exhibition Tours, and the specific daily content of each program will be unique. Creative Kits
In addition, The Aldrich is launching a new way for families to easily bring the Museum and art-making into their homes with Aldrich at Home: Creative Kits.
Each kit is $40 (or $36 for Aldrich members). Creative Kits can be purchased online here.
Each family who purchases a Creative Kit will be invited to a virtual meet up where participants can show off their work and make new friends on Wednesday, August 5 at 2 pm.
