Socially Distanced, Old-Time Outdoor Games on Wednesday Afternoons at Keeler Tavern

Keeler Tavern Museum & History Center Offers Socially Distanced, Old-Time Outdoor Games on Wednesday afternoons!

Itching to get out of the house and PLAY!?

Join us at Keeler Tavern Museum & History Center every Wednesday afternoon from 1 to 4 p.m. beginning July 22 and running through August 26 to play socially distanced, old-time outdoor games such as hoop and stick, cornhole toss, badminton, and croquet.

All games will be organized and supervised by "Coach" Chris Browne, Keeler Kids camp director. Parents can either drop off children and/or relax in the walled garden (socially distanced). For everyone’s safety and in compliance with COVID-19 guidelines, participants are required to use the hand-sanitizing station when they first arrive and wear a mask at all times. Games and any touchable surfaces will be disinfected after each use. Bathrooms in the Visitor Center will be open for outdoor game participants only.

Attendance is capped at 10; pre-registration is strongly recommended. The cost is $25 per child with $20 for members and any additional siblings. Payment will be taken on-site the day of the games via touchless credit card processing or cash/check made out to KTM&HC. To preregister, click here.

All games are weather dependent. Activities will be cancelled in case of inclement weather; please check our Facebook page the morning of the scheduled game for cancellation information. Bring your own water bottles and snacks, and don’t forget a mask! Siblings and families welcome. Tell all your friends!

COVID-19 Certification: KTM&HC is COVID certified per state rules for the safe re-opening of Museums & Aquariums issued by executive order on May 20. Specifically, only outdoor grounds are open (there are no Museum tours currently scheduled); visitors and participants must practice social distancing; face coverings or masks are mandatory; and everyone must follow one-way signage, as applicable. Bathrooms in the Visitor Center will be open for outdoor game participants only.
