Charles Ives Music Festival – Outdoor Concert at Lounsbury House!
Mark your calendars and plan to join us for a fantastic LIVE chamber music concert - Wednesday, August 12 at 6:30 PM, outdoors at Lounsbury House on Main Street in Ridgefield!
The Charles Ives Music Festival presents “HORIZON”, featuring a marvelous string quartet comprised of superb professional Charles Ives Music Festival artists performing a beautiful, creative program of music by composers Caroline Shaw, Florence Price, Carlos Simon, Jessie Montgomery, Christopher Theofanidis, Paul Frucht and Antonín Dvořák.
“It is with a renewed appreciation for the luxury of live music that we're presenting this concert and for all the great things live music entails, perhaps most notably the electricity between the performers and audience that can only be created with in-person performances.” says Charles Ives Music Festival Artistic Director Paul Frucht. “The musical program for this concert features works telling stories of American reflection, rejuvenation, and innovation, and feels like a great place to start as we begin the process of getting live music going again.”
The concert is FREE to attend and the rain date is the following evening, August 13th. Bring your lawn chairs or blankets and enjoy wonderful live music safely. The concert will be approximately an hour in length.
