Gingerbread Home for the Holidays, a festive fundraiser for Lounsbury House with the Ridgefield Guild of Artists
Sponsored by Karla Murtaugh Homes and Casey Energy
Lounsbury House and Ridgefield Guild of Artists invite you to join the fun with Gingerbread Homes for the Holidays, a festive holiday competition kicking off on November 27 and displayed through December 20 at historic Lounsbury House.
Create your own gingerbread-styled version of a historic Ridgefield building – or design your own! Specially-selected participants will have their entry creatively displayed by the talented Ridgefield Guild of Artists, vignette-style, for easy (and safe) public viewing from Lounsbury’s outdoor veranda ballroom windows.
Make sure to come and see artist Tina Sturges’ replica of Lounsbury House along with entries from The Aldrich Museum, Keeler Tavern Museum with Jay Steele, ACT Theater with Katie Diamond and more.
Stroll Lounsbury’s beautiful lighted grounds and snap a pic beside our glittering garden holiday tree, designed and decorated by the talented Diana Arfine and April Van Der Noll with help from The Ridgefield Thrift Shop.
The fun at Lounsbury is all a part of this year’s Ridgefield Holiday Village, a community collaboration between Ridgefield’s Economic Community Development Commission, Ridgefield Chamber of Commerce, and Downtown Ridgefield.
Building on the past popularity of Ridgefield’s Holiday Stroll, this year has been modified to create a safer, month-long outdoor, entertainment-styled event to attract, support, and position Ridgefield as a go-to destination to ‘live, shop, dine & play.’
It will kick off on Friday, November 27th and follow a Fri-Sat-Sunday schedule until December 20.
