Interfaith Thanksgiving Service in Ridgefield is Virtual on Sunday, November 22

Even in this year of Covid-19, the Ridgefield clergy, houses of worship and individuals are finding a way to hold the annual Community Interfaith Thanksgiving Service. Organized by the Ridgefield Clergy Association (RCA), this year it will be virtual. The pre-recorded observance, a compilation of locations and contributors, will be available online beginning at 7 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 22.

First selectman Rudy Marconi will be among the contributors, as well as the Ridgefield Chorale, led by Daniela Sikora. In addition to the chorale, music will be provided by Cantor Deborah Katchko-Gray of Congregation Shir Shalom.  There will also be a hymn for all to sing along with.

“As a way of showing personal gratitude for our blessings, the service will give people an opportunity to donate to Ridgefield Social Services and the Association for Religious Communities in Danbury,” said the Rev. Whitney Altopp, RCA chairman.

The service will be available on every congregation’s website and will remain available throughout the week.
