Ridgefield Light Fight Starts in 10 Days!

The countdown is on! The Founders Hall-iday Light Fights starts in just 10 days. On Thursday, December 10, at 6:00 pm the 30 competitors will flip the switch and turn on their light displays. Here are 10 things you should know about the first-ever Founders Hall-iday Light Fight:

1. The Founders Hall-iday Light Fight is a fundraiser to benefit Founders Hall, a non-profit organization that provides educational, social and fitness programs. Membership is free to all Ridgefielders age 60+ and their spouse. Because of the pandemic, Founders Hall is currently providing virtual programs to its members.
2.  The contest will run December 10^th – 20^th, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm each day.
3.  All participants are in Ridgefield.
4.  There is no ticket to buy to see the lights. The whole community is welcome! Look for the list of addresses on the   Founders Hall website, founders-hall.org, just before December 10.
5.  There are 12 businesses participating in the Light Fight: Atria Senior Living, 109 Cheese & Wine, William Pitt   Sotheby’s, Olley Court, Candlelight Shoppe, Tewes Cares, West Lane Inn, Books on the Common/Keller Williams,   John’s Best Pizza, HERS Modern Boutique, Coldwell Banker Realty, and Craig’s Fine Jewelry.
6.  There are 15 families participating in the Light Fight: the Coolbaugh family, the Godbout family, the Martzloff family, the Iwinski family, the Kubick family, the Furey family, the Sperry family, the Becks, Sharon Scott, the Haley family, the Loftus family, 146 Peaceable Street, 13 Continental Court and 111 High Ridge Avenue.
7. There are four non-profits participating in the Light Fight: ROAR, the Ridgefield Conservatory of Dance, the   Lounsbury House, and Founders Hall.
8. Voting is optional, but it is how the winner will be determined. The competitor that raises the most money for   Founders Hall will be crowned the winner.
9. Voting is online at founders-hall.org or by mailing a check (must be received on or before December 21) to Founders   Hall at 193 Danbury Road.
10. There will be 1 winner, who will be announced on December 22.
