Caleb Wright Is Guest Artist at St. Stephen’s Concert

Singer Caleb Wright will be a guest artist at St. Stephen’s concert in honor of Black History Month on Sunday, February 28, at 5 p.m. The event will highlight the contributions of Black musicians and composers and will feature a variety of musical styles. Organ and piano works will be interspersed with sacred vocal works and spiritual arrangements. It will be live streamed, with no in-person audience.

Wright, a classically trained bass-baritone who has performed several times at St. Stephen’s, began classical vocal study at the age of 14. He has been a featured soloist throughout the country.

Other artists in the concert will be New York-based soprano Chanae Curtis, praised by the New York Times for her “attractive singing,” and Alcee Chriss III, music minister at St. Stephen’s, who is known for his keyboard artistry and improvisational skills.
“Having these emerging artists perform together is an incredible treat,” said the Rev. Whitney Altopp, rector of St. Stephen’s. “You don’t have to go to New York City to hear Caleb or Chanae. Just sit at home this Sunday night and make sure the computer is hooked up to your good speakers!”

Sunday at 5 is the only opportunity to hear these three artists in this performance. A $20 donation is suggested, and more generous sponsorships are welcome. Register for the event here
