Keeler Tavern Museum & History Center Announces Spring Boutique in the Barn

In response to the great success of the 2020 Holiday Boutique in the Barn, Keeler Tavern Museum & History Center is launching the first-ever Spring Boutique in the Barn.

Shoppers have the unique opportunity to browse a variety of items for purchase all while experiencing the charm and craftmanship of the Museum’s historic Carriage Barn. Designed by famed twentieth-century architect and longtime Tavern resident Cass Gilbert, the Carriage Barn dates to circa 1910 and was originally designed to house Gilbert’s horses, carriages, and, eventually, automobiles.

Gift shop manager Margo Mc Eachern encourages visitors to experience the new event: “The Spring Boutique features a wide assortment of wares, with an emphasis on highlighting local creative talent and local stories.” Peruse original artwork by thirteen Ridgefield-area artists, a large collection of historical fiction and nonfiction books by local authors, and merchandise celebrating KTM&HC, Ridgefield, and Connecticut.

Browse spring and Easter-themed objects for the home and garden, and update your wardrobe with a curated selection of accessories. The Boutique also showcases a selection of gifts for children, including books, toys, games, and our very own Keeler Kids Craft kits.

Barn doors and windows will be open to maximize air circulation, so shoppers are reminded to dress accordingly. KTM&HC will also observe these safety protocols during the sale:

  • Capacity is limited inside the barn in accordance with state and local guidelines.
  • Shoppers must wear masks while in the barn.
  • The boutique has one-way traffic flow.
  • Shoppers are asked to observe 6-foot social distancing.
  • Masks and hand sanitizer are available at the entrance and exit.
  • Shoppers and volunteers need to sign in for contact tracing.

Featured artists include Harry Dayton, Marilyn Gordon, Tim Guthrie, Chris Lecher, Martha Levites, Anna Lossius, Joan Ogren, Tina Phillips, Ellen Ross, Fru Saily, Paul Siegel, Martha Talburt, and Antonio Villaneueva. KTM&HC welcomes lovers of history and shopping alike from 11am-3pm on March 25-27 and April 1-3. The Carriage Barn is located at 132 Main Street in Ridgefield.
