Invitational Art Show Opening on May 22nd at The Meetinghouse in Ridgefield

The Meetinghouse announces the 2021 First Invitational Art Show on Saturday, May 22nd from noon- 4pm.

The First-floor gallery features seven local fine artists, Nicole Bricker, Leslie Carone, Priscilla Prentice, Clarice Shirvell, Marcia Simha, Dennis Stevens, Trish Wend, in an exhibit called, “A Season of Hope”, curated by Ridgebury artists Clarice Shirvell and Trish Wend the show includes local landscapes, sights, florals, and inspirational art.

With a post-pandemic future in sight, the Meetinghouse is re-opening its doors with a focus on The Arts, Farm and Food, and Holistic Wellness. On Saturday in addition to the Artists’ Reception, there is a second-floor gallery featuring the work of artist Polly Castor. Tours of the Meetinghouse’s Studios will be open to the public featuring artist in residence, Clarice Shirvell, as well as viewing of additional studios for a future writer in residence, a musician in residence and a social awareness residence to be announced.

There will be an outdoor reception under a tent with a food truck, painting demo and tours of studios.

Gallery hours Wed 9am-12pm, Thurs- Sun 12-4pm
