Up for auction is a rare opportunity for a private tour – one for children and one for adults - of the Walker Library of the History of Human Imagination, donated by Eileen and Jay Walker and led by Mr. Walker. The Walker Library houses thousands of books, artifacts and treasures that illuminate the evolution of human imagination. It is internationally recognized for its design and collection. Dinosaur fossils, ancient manuscripts, artistic book bindings, rocks from outer space and an authentic Sputnik satellite. These and hundreds of other one-of-a-kind objects are displayed in a theatrical three-story space. Visitors will see the collection in an intimate setting, with stories of each piece told by Mr. Walker. The children’s tour is for up to 10 children/young adults over 10 years old, with two accompanying adults. The adult tour is for up to 12 people. Both tour items to be used by May 1, 2022.

Seaside vacation rentals are expected to be hard to get this summer. The Gala auction has an answer for that: a one-week stay, from June 5-12, 2021, in a two-bedroom suite on Cape Cod, donated by the Couri family.   The suite, at the Edgewater Resort in Dennisport, sleeps up to six and is situated on the resort’s 300 feet of beachfront property, with an indoor pool, fitness center, putting green, and more. For those preferring the beauty of snow, the Couri family has donated a one-week stay for January 14-21, 2022, in a two-bedroom suite in Lincoln, New Hampshire. It also sleeps six. Located at InnSeason Resorts Pollard Brook on a mountainside across from Loon Mountain and bordering the White Mountain National Forest, the suite comes with complimentary shuttle to Loon Mountain, indoor pool, game room, fitness center and more.

The Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra (RSO) and the Ridgefield Library have joined forces to offer RSO season tickets for four plus lunch for four with RSO Music Director Yuga Cohler. The tickets are for the upcoming 2021-22 season: October 2, December 4, March 5 and April 23. The October concert is scheduled to present the world premiere of A More Perfect Union, an orchestral song cycle by Paul Frucht and featuring a libretto based on iconic speeches by Barack Obama. The private lunch with Mr. Cohler will take place at Gallo Ristorante in Ridgefield; this portion of the package to be used by May 15, 2022.
