Seventh Annual RidgeCon Pop Culture Celebration at Ridgefield Library August 16-21

Everyone is invited to join the RidgeCon fun at the Ridgefield Library during the week of August 16-21. 

The Library’s all-age, awesome, free celebration of pop culture explores the universes of manga, Marvel, DC Comics, Disney, Star Wars, and more!  RidgeCon offers a variety of all-age activities, both virtually and in person.  Online events include “Caption This! Online Comic Book Club for All Ages” on Tuesday, August 17 from 6-7pm, and “Creating Movie Props with Ross MacDonald” on Thursday, August 18 from 6:30-7:30pm.  Visit the Library’s event calendar at www.ridgefieldlibrary.org to register.

Events on Saturday, August 21will be held in person at the Library and include a Paw Patrol Police Car in the Library parking lot from 10am-12pm; a live, interactive family fun concert by Graham Clarke on the Library Lawn by from 1-2pm; and plenty of raffles, take-and-make crafts, and scavenger hunts. Costumes are encouraged (but not required), so come dressed as a favorite character and visit our costume/cosplay photo booth.  Please note that masks are required for all unvaccinated Library visitors and for everyone over age 2 entering the Lodewick Children’s Library.  For more information and a full schedule of events, please visit https://libguides.ridgefieldlibrary.org/RidgeCon/home
