The Boys & Girls Club of Ridgefield has much to celebrate and has announced their Great Futures Celebration will take place on Saturday, November 6 at the Ethan Allen Hotel in Danbury.
Executive Director Mike Flynn says, "Together, we've adapted, we've grown, we've laughed, we've cried. We rose to the occasion, met each challenge, and stayed true to our mission of helping those that need us the most. We've truly rallied to do 'Whatever It Takes' for the youth and families in our community. And, now it's time to celebrate together! It wouldn't be a celebration without all of you, as we truly could not have accomplished all we have without your support!"
The Great Futures event will celebrate the 2020 Champion for Youth, Karla Murtaugh and the 2021 Champion for Youth, Christine Carnicelli. In addition, the Club will present Jess Murphy Podrazky with the Boys & Girls Club of America's National Service to Youth Award for a decade of service to the Boys & Girls Club of Ridgefield.
"All three have made a significant impact on the Club and we are thrilled to be honoring them for their commitment and dedication to youth," says Flynn. Of course, we also hope to raise some much-needed funds for our Club members' Great Futures. Our promise to youth is to continue to be a pillar of support for them, no matter the obstacles they may be facing, and with your help at the Great Futures Celebration, we know we will be able to fulfill this promise," Flynn adds.
