Ridgefield Library Presents The Bronx: The Way It Was

On Thursday evening, September 30 at 7:00pm, Steve Samtur, editor and publisher of Back in The Bronx magazine, will give an in-person presentation on life in The Bronx during the decades of the 1940s to the 1960s in the Library’s Main Program Room.

This program presents a fascinating retrospective of The Bronx during this time-period. Samtur has close to 30,000 subscribers to his magazine and nearly 30,000 followers on FaceBook. He also has a database of over 125,000 former Bronxites. He has written three books, and has also developed both a Bronx board game and a Back in The Bronx chess set. For the past six years he has given presentations on his favorite Bronx topic locally and throughout the country.

Please note: ALL patrons must wear masks that cover nose and mouth at all times while in the Library, regardless of vaccination status, per the current protocol of the Town of Ridgefield. Masks must conform to current CDC recommendations.
