Festive Home is Back at The Guild for 2021!

Ridgefield Guild of Artists is back with Festive Home this November/December.  We are busy planning and getting ready for our 16th Annual Festive Home…Reimagined, opening Friday, November 19, with a special preview day and an admission of $20 at the door.  It’s an open house of sorts and the hours are 11-5.  Refreshments will be served.

The sale then runs from Saturday, November 20 through Sunday, December 19 with free admission.  We will be open Wednesdays through Sundays, from 11-5 each week.  We will be closed Wednesday, November 24 and Thursday, November 25 for the Thanksgiving holiday, opening again on Black Friday, November 26.

“With our theme of “Reimagined” in mind and being aware of our national move toward more conservation and less unnecessary consumption, we are making an effort to re-use, re-purpose, re-cycle and up-cycle whatever we can this year, all while inspiring a creative and special holiday season,” explains Pam Stoddart, Executive Director and Co-Chair for the Festive Home fundraiser.  “We will concentrate on hand-made and hand-selected gift items, along with recycled and up-cycled furniture, décor and gift items whenever possible.”  We are partnering with The Restore, the Habitat for Humanity shop in Danbury, in coordination with our theme.

Since we are an arts organization, we will concentrate on our talented members and local artisans at large in three ways: original artwork covering our gallery walls, hand-crafted gift items, and donated small canvases, all of which will be available for sale.  For interested people who would like to take part in making our annual event successful, please visit the Festive Home page on our website at www.rgoa.org for details on how you can help.  Deadlines to enter are coming up soon!

So, it may look a bit different this year, “reimagined” in some ways, but we hope our visitors will enjoy the experience of holiday shopping at the Guild.

We are mindful that COVID is still with us and are taking measures to keep all our visitors safe by following the local, state and federal regulations on combatting this tenacious disease.

Our hope is for a safe and happy holiday season for all.

Ridgefield Guild of Artists’ antique gallery barn is located at 34 Halpin Lane, at the bottom of the hill just before the town’s Rail Trail.  For more details about Festive Home…Reimagined, visit our website at www.rgoa.org or call the Guild at 203.438.8863.

All profits from sales at this annual fundraiser will go towards continuing and developing new programs at the Guild.

RGOA is a tax-exempt 501c3 non-profit arts organization, now in its 47th year.  All contributions are gratefully accepted.
