New Date: New Beginnings Party, How to Reinvent Yourself After Divorce at RPAC Gallery in Ridgefield on January 12

Calling all the single ladies! Join us for Strong Savvy Women's Holiday Party at the gorgeous RPAC Gallery in Ridgefield, CT on Wednesday, January 12 at 7pm.

Eat, drink and be inspired! Our theme is "Learn How to Reinvent Yourself" and we'll hear the amazing story of DeeDee Colabella, the gallery and art center owner. Colabella moved past an abusive situation, got divorced and followed her passion for art. She has influenced so many and helped transform the art scene in Ridgefield - which was recently designated the first cultural district in the State of Connecticut.

If you want to participate in our "Secret Santa" gift swap bring something for $20 or less and you will be entered in the fun!

Strong Savvy Women is an empowerment group for women who are single, divorced, widowed or are in transition. Ridgefield resident Amy Polacko started the support group in her living room years ago and it now has grown to include women from all over Fairfield County - and beyond. As part of her Freedom Warrior coaching business (www.freedomwarrior.info) she empowers women during/after a divorce or toxic relationship and helps them create an amazing next chapter. Strong Savvy Women is under this umbrella and is free for all women, no matter what stage they are at in the process.

“Divorce doesn’t have to be the end,” Polacko says. “It can actually be an exciting new beginning.”

The group’s focus is moving forward – by supporting each other, learning from expert speakers and having fun. Past event topics have included financial tips, legal advice, co-parenting, self-love and dating post Covid. Last month, Strong Savvy Women drew over 40 people to learn about Jennifers’ Law, which expands the definition of domestic violence in Connecticut. Attorney Rosemarie Ferrante of the Mediation Center of Ridgefield/Danbury LLC and financial advisor Alison Hamilton of Eagle Ridge Investments LLC are on the group’s advisory board.

The January 12 event will take place at the RPAC Gallery, 410 Main Street, Ridgefield, Connecticut. Admission is $20 and refreshments will be provided. The group always protects attendees' privacy and only takes photos if permission is granted. Registration is through Eventbrite here

Strong Savvy Women usually meets at Hayvn, a women centered co-working space in Darien, CT on the second Wednesday of the month. This event is an exception. Learn more about the group and its Facebook community here or contact Amy Polacko at amy@freedomwarrior.info
