Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra in Concert Saturday!

Following the tremendously successful return to the stage in early October, the Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra (RSO) will be in concert again this Saturday, December 4th at 7:30 PM at the Richardson Auditorium located in Ridgefield High School.

The RSO will perform an exciting program titled “FATE”, including the marvelous Symphony No. 1 by Johannes Brahams, the engaging Violin Concerto No. 1 by Bela Bartok, and a piece inspired by Beethoven, “Fate Now Conquers”, by outstanding contemporary composer Carlos Simon.

The December 4th concert will be conducted by RSO Music Director Yuga Cohler and feature acclaimed violinist Simone Porter as soloist for the concerto.  “Porter, still only 25, has everything: gorgeous tone, power, a sense of drama but also of whimsical introversion, a musical maturity well beyond her years. Best of all, she seems so utterly engrossed in the music, rather than in any flamboyant performance. That musicality is what makes her such a compelling performer and such an exciting prospect.” Edmonton Journal

The RSO invites you to join us for what is sure to be a wonderful evening of music in Ridgefield!
