Fresh off her TWO Blues Music Award WINS from The Blues Foundation, guitarist/singer Sue Foley is on tour continuing the promotion of her latest CD Pinky's Blues and will be making a stop in your area.
She will be playing at CHIRP Concert Happenings in Ridgefield Parks on Tuesday, June 14.
On May 5 at the 43rd annual Blues Music Awards in Memphis, Sue won Best Traditional Blues Album for "Pinky's Blues" and the Koko Taylor Award for Traditional Blues Female Artist, repeating her 2020 win in the same category!
She has also been nominated five Maple Blues Awards (which are given out in June): Electric Act of the Year, Entertainer of the Year, Songwriter of the Year, Recording/Producer of the Year w/ Mike Flanigin and Guitarist of the Year.
Late last year Sue released her new album Pinky's Blues on Stony Plain Records. Pinky’s Blues is the follow-up to her award-winning breakout album, The Ice Queen, released in 2018. Foley’s new album is a raw, electric guitar-driven romp through the backroads of Texas blues, with Foley’s signature pink paisley Fender Telecaster, “Pinky,” at the wheel. The album features Sue with her band, Jon Penner on bass and Chris "Whipper" Layton on drums. Jimmie Vaughan plays guitar on a track. Mike Flanigan produced the album and also added Hammond B3 organ on a few tracks.
