A Garden of Verse: Poetry in the Keeler Tavern Museum Gardens on Monday

Keeler Tavern Museum & History Center (KTM&HC) hosts the 2022 Ridgefield Poet Laureate series "A Garden of Verse" featuring Westchester Poet Laureate B.K. Fischer and Suzanne Frischkorn on Monday, August 8 beginning at 6:30 pm.

Fischer is the author of Ceive, a finalist for the 2021 National Book Critics Circle Award, as well as four previous poetry collections: RadioapocryphaMy Lover's DiscourseSt. Rage's Vault, and Mutiny Gallery. Fischer holds an MFA in poetry from Columbia University and a PhD in English and American Literature from NYU. A former poetry editor of Boston Review, she teaches a course on grammar and syntax for creative practice in the School of the Arts at Columbia University. 

Frischkorn is a Cuban-American poet. Her most recent poetry collection, Fixed Star, is forthcoming from JackLeg Press in September 2022. She is the recipient of the Aldrich Poetry Award for her chapbook Spring Tide, selected by Mary Oliver, an Emerging Writers Fellowship from the Writer's Center for her book Lit Windowpane, and an Individual Artist Fellowship from the Connecticut Commission on Culture and Tourism. She is an editor for $ - Poetry is Currency and serves on the Terrain.org editorial board.
