Focus On: Landscape opens at The Guild on Saturday, November 5

Ridgefield Guild of Artists is pleased to announce the opening of Focus On: Landscape, with a reception on Saturday, November 5th from 4-6pm.

It is free and open to all. “It’s the third installment in a series of shows focusing on a specific genre. Our first two looked at fiber arts and portraits,” said Mary Pat Devine, President of the Guild. “We had a wonderful response and the gallery is jam-packed with plenty of beautiful landscapes, representative and abstract, real and imagined.” The show features 111 pieces by 51 artists. The Guild thanks all who entered. This show runs through November 20, with regular gallery hours: Wednesday – Sunday, 12-4pm.

Ridgefield Guild of Artists has enjoyed serving its members and the Ridgefield community for many, many years. In 1974, a small group of local artists wanted a place to meet, talk about art, and show their work. From its humble beginnings, the Guild has grown to over three hundred members, offering an array of opportunities to exhibit with gallery shows and community events, as well as offering classes for artists of all ages and abilities.

The Guild’s antique barn is located at 34 Halpin Lane, at the bottom of the hill just before Ridgefield’s Rail Trail.  Regular gallery hours are Wednesday – Sunday, 12-4pm.
