It’s time for THE RIDGEFIELD PLAYHOUSE: WEEKEND ROUND UP!

TONIGHT! Fri, November 11 at 8pm, it’s Is There Still Sex in the City? Written By & Starring Candace Bushnell, the international bestselling author and creator of Sex and the City! Meet up with your girlfriends, touch base with your inner fashionista, hit up our pop-up shop in the lobby with Whim Boutique and enjoy drink specials at the bar On The Rocks while getting up close and personal with the OG Carrie Bradshaw! This is her only area performance before she takes the tour international in 2023. Book signing to follow the show, with books available for purchase courtesy of Books on the CommonVIP Meet & Greet Upgrade available. Then on Sun, November 13 at 1pm, it’s a 60th Anniversary Screening of To Kill a Mockingbird. Experience one of the most significant milestones in film history like never. Screen legend Gregory Peck stars as courageous Southern lawyer Atticus Finch – the Academy Award-winning performance hailed by the American Film Institute as the Greatest Movie Hero of All Time. Part of the Cohen and Wolf, P.C. Movie Series.

Mavis Staples on Sun, March 12 at 7pm, with opening act is GA-20. Hailed by NPR as “one of America’s defining voices of freedom and peace,” 3x Grammy Award-winning Mavis Staples is the kind of once-in-a-generation artist whose impact on music and culture would be difficult to overstate. An inductee of both the Blues Hall of Fame and the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Staples returns to the Playhouse on the heels of her 2022 album, "Carry Me Home," a collaboration with Levon Helm recorded live in 2011. Marty Stuart and His Fabulous Superlatives on Sat, April 15 at 8pm. The country music torchbearer is back after two past sold-out shows! With legends like George Jones, Johnny Cash, and Merle Haggard all passed on, country music purists often echo the question Jones himself asked: “Who’s going to fill their shoes?” The answer, in part, is Marty Stuart. The Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter, and musician is living/breathing country music history.
