The hills of Ridgefield come alive today as hundreds flock to the Ridgefield Playhouse for a Sound of Music singalong!

It was a singalong Sunday today at The Ridgefield Playhouse - and it was awesome! Hosted by Playhouse Theater Manager Stephanie Fagan, the hills of Ridgefield came alive today with enthusiastic Sound of Music fans of all ages!

The perfect combo for enjoying this timeless classic? Watching it on a big screen, with props in hand, a nearly sold-out crowd and dressing the part! Wearing the Sound of Music love on their sleeves were those who arrived at the Playhouse in traditional Austrian garb (including an authentic dirndl). Prizes were awarded to the top three costumes (remember when Maria handmade clothing for the Von Trapp children out of curtains?)

Adding some pre-show pizzazz today the Holiday Market that took place in the new lobby of the Ridgefield Playhouse! Local artisans and small business owners displayed their unique goods, perfect for holiday gifts and stocking stuffers!

Thank you to The Ridgefield Playhouse for giving us the opportunity to re-live this hard-warming story starring Julie Andrews as Maria and Christopher Plummer as Captain Von Trapp.
