RPAC Art Center & Academy Presents… Charles Gulbrandsen: A Reception in the new lobby of The Ridgefield Playhouse during the Marie Osmond Concert
We are proud to announce that one of our long-time resident artists, Charles Gulbrandsen, will be showing several of his paintings in the lobby of The Ridgefield Playhouse this Wednesday, December 7.
The concert, Marie Osmond Symphonic Christmas with the Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra, is a unique collaboration between the RSO and the Ridgefield Playhouse that shouldn’t be missed, and Gulbrandsen’s work is a perfect complement.
With rich and saturated colors that are characteristic of the holiday season, Gulbrandsen’s style has all the technique behind a master painter, yet offers a smooth and interwoven style of abstract painting that’s hard to find. With colors and lights pulsing from the canvas, and endless ribbons of color changing and weaving through the piece, it’s not unlike the pulsing sounds of orchestral strings and the sweet soprano singing of Marie Osmond, leaving the audience with an inner warmth felt only in the holiday season.
