Scrabble Tournament for Kids & Teens on Saturday at the Ridgefield Library

Players in grades 3-12: Love to test your wordplay skills with a good game of SCRABBLE?  Join us at the Ridgefield Library this Saturday, March 18th 10:00 am – 4:00 pm for an in-person SCRABBLE Tournament!

Five 50-minute School SCRABBLE games (played in teams of two) using official NASPA School SCRABBLE Rules (except for age limits) and the NASPA School Word List 2020 (NSWL20) as the lexicon. We will find partners for players who do not have a teammate (or they may play solo). 9th-12th graders may play solo or in teams.

Championship, Intermediate, and Novice divisions will be offered. Prizes for all ages, plus special prizes for high game and high play, and a benefit raffle. Points from this tournament will count toward the 2022-23 NASPA Youth Awards.  Entry fees and a pizza lunch are provided by the Library!

Register by March 17, 2023. Request a registration form at the Ridgefield Library Children’s desk or download a copy here. Forms can be given to Children’s staff or directly to Cornelia.
