Come to Ridgefield Guild of Artists this Sunday, May 21st at 4pm for the third installment in its lecture series, “professional practices…straightup talk for artists who want to take it to the next level,” workshops designed to provide working, serious, or simply curious artists, the tools to support and guide them as they navigate the artistic community.
All the lectures take place on Sunday afternoons at the Guild and run for 45 minutes with time for Q&A. Please pre-register online @ www.rgoa.org, by phone, 203.438.8863 or email, frontdesk@ridgefieldguild.org. Suggested donation: $10.
“We can’t wait for our third lecture this spring!” said Rachel Volpone, head of the committee for Professional Practices for the Guild. “Alyse Rosner will be with us Sunday for An Artists’ Life Conversation.” Join painter/artist mid-career Alyse Rosner as she shares her creative process, sources of inspiration, and insights on how she navigates the art world in conversation with Cecilia Moy Fradet, artist/art educator at the Aldrich Contemporary Museum of Art.
Alyse Rosner holds a BFA from the University of Michigan and an MFA from The American University. She is recognized for her large-scale abstract paintings acknowledging the contradictions within the natural and synthetic world and the loss and regeneration continuing around us. Each of her series are informed by an arc of life experience, personal and collective grief, and the process of painting.
Ridgefield Guild of Artists is located at 34 Halpin Lane, at the bottom of the hill just before the Rail Trail. “The Guild is very excited to bring this series to our artist friends. Join us as we continue this new lecture series! Come early to see the Guild’s 13th Annual Juried Member Show, now on view in our gallery.” Visit rgoa.org for more information on this program and all Guild offerings.
