Revolutionary Ridgefield: A Bus Tour of Colonial Homes

Enjoy an afternoon on our bus tour exploring colonial Ridgefield. Learn about the architecture, people, and stories connected to these historic places.

Learn about one of the town's grandest colonial residences, abandoned when its Loyalist owner fled to England. Ridgefield is home to a rare surviving colonial artisan's workshop, which was later renovated by acclaimed architect and revered Ridgefield resident Cass Gilbert.

Many more historic colonial buildings have been well-preserved throughout the town. We will explore a great collection of some 20 of these places. Several interior home stops will be included!

The bus will depart and end at Keeler Tavern Museum and History Center, 152 Main Street, Ridgefield. Parking available on site for the 12:30 p.m. tour (up to about 20 vehicles). Overflow for the 12:30 p.m. tour and parking for all those attending the 1:00 p.m. tour available at First Congregational Church across the street (103 Main Street).
