Endorsement for Kim Healy from Colette Kabasakalian
Haven’t we had enough of the career politicians running our Government? Coming straight out of college and running for office is very self-serving. We need people who have lived life a bit more outside of our Senate and Congress. People who have paid bills prior to creating them. People who have paid taxes prior to imposing them. People who have purchased a home, gone through the process of identifying their family needs, prior to making the purchase. The number of bedrooms and bathrooms. The best school district for their family. The decisions made by most Americans who work for a living. They work and sweat it out every time the Mill Rate increases. Every time there are new gas taxes and every time there is a new Bill before the State Senate and House that imposes more pocket-picking items, not called taxes, but dressed up as user fees.
The Democrats have held the majority rule for nearly 40 years. They have made special deals with the Unions without having any idea as to where the money is coming from other than nonunion working families. This insanity must stop. Connecticut deserves better. A better way of doing business. A better forecast for creating jobs. Bringing back Corporations with higher paying positions, broadening the tax base so we all pay a little bit less. We need a strong supporter, one who will fight to keep local control of our schools and zoning. A champion who will support our Police with more education and training rather than redirect their funds for their pet projects. These are the important issues our Legislators must consider when in Hartford.
We do not need another Career Politician becoming wealthy off taxpayers. We do not need a student of the theatre to memorize a script given to him by a Director, coached to speak eloquently and coiffed to look charming.
Please join me in voting for success. Connecticut’s success, not personal gain. Vote for Kim Healy on November 3rd. We need to take back this Senate seat and put it in experienced hands. Let’s tell this actor to Exit Stage LEFT!
