Letter to the Editor: What exactly has Aimee done to support our town?

How can we believe Aimee can work with others when she has openly stated she cannot support someone from a party with beliefs that differ from hers? If elected, will she only advocate for the interests of members of her party?

What exactly has Aimee done to support our town?

She's never been elected to a town office or volunteered for a town board. She's volunteered for SCOR but doesn't have any experience with our local government or sought to address any of the issues we face as residents.

She says she's a champion for seniors.  I have often asked for examples of HOW she has championed seniors and have not received an answer to date.

She and her platform are out of touch with critical local issues. Instead, her platform focuses on national issues for which she doesn't have a vote. I'm concerned she doesn't understand the job for which she is applying. She is a weak candidate running on the narrow-minded platform of "I'm not in the party of Trump."

Aimee and her campaign have claimed that Aimee has "run multi-million dollar corporations." Yet, friends of hers have shared that her business experience includes being a manager at the Banana Republic/GAP and Hard Rock Cafe.  While I don't seek to pass judgment on her work history (because I believe that ALL work is valuable and deserves respect), I find dishonest claims to be manipulative and wrong.

I will not be voting row A across the board. I will vote for the most qualified person for the job, and that is Bob Hebert. Bob has a long history of volunteerism, has been heavily involved in our town government for over a decade, and the appropriate business experience to bring the needed changes to Hartford.
