Experts to Discuss Art + Design + Life, and an Airstream Pop-Up Shop at The Aldrich on November 15

The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum will host a full day of design programming including a talk with high profile panelists and the opportunity to shop for unique holiday gifts in an Airstream pop-up store on Saturday, November 15.

The Dream Machine, a customized mobile living environment combining art, design, and life, will offer objects made or designed by artists, including products by local design company Teroforma. Redesigned and outfitted by project partners WeR2, the brainchild of former gallerist Sara Meltzer and architect and interior designer Suchi Reddy, the Airstream will function as a temporary shop on the Museum’s grounds from 10 am to 5 pm.

At 3 pm, The Aldrich will host a discussion about the connections between fine art and design, and how both converge in our everyday lives and environments. The panelists include conceptual artist Mary Ellen Carroll; designer and artist Sebastian Errazuriz; Wendy Goodman, editor of New York magazine’s design features andDesign Hunting; and Eva Franch i Gilabert, executive director and chief curator of Storefront for Art and Architecture. Evan Snyderman, a founder of R & Company in New York, will be panelist and moderator.

The talk is free for Aldrich members; free with paid Museum admission for non-member adults, but reservations are required. The WeR2 Airstream pop-up shop will be onsite at The Aldrich from November 14 through 23, Tuesday to Sunday, 12 noon to 5 pm.
