Appointment of Ridgefield High School Athletic Director

The Ridgefield Public Schools are pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Dane Street as Ridgefield High School’s Athletic Director, effective July 1, 2016.  Mr. Street comes to Ridgefield as an experienced Athletic Director having served the past 4 years as Director of Athletics & Student Activities for Simsbury High School and previously as Athletic Director in Watertown for 2 years.

Mr. Street has a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Mathematics from West Virginia Wesleyan College and a Master’s of Science degree in Management of Sports Industries from the University of New Haven.  In addition to being a Certified Athletic Administrator (CAA) from the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association, Mr. Street possess a Connecticut teaching certificate in mathematics and a Connecticut coaching permit.

Mr. Street’s experience as it relates to creating an environment which sees athletics as an extension of the classroom and developing sportsmanship and decision making skills as well as athletic based skills will be an excellent fit for Ridgefield High School.
