Newsweek has partnered with Westat to produce the 2016 Newsweek High School Rankings.
According to Newsweek, "Westat is a 100 percent employee-owned research firm headquartered in Rockville, MD. One of the nation’s leading research firms, Westat has directly supported and informed the U.S. Department of Education’s research programs through their analyses and data collection projects."
Of the 500 schools ranked, four in Connecticut are among the top 200:

- #56: Wilton
- #116: Avon
- #151: Ridgefield
How does Newsweek rank the best? "Newsweek High School Rankings assess schools based on a broad range of data to determine which institutions do the best job of preparing students for college."
