Ridgefield Police Go Blue for 2018

“We Are Going Blue and Will Continue To Serve You”

The Ridgefield Police Department is announcing that on January 1, 2018, Police Officers will change to a blue uniform.

The Board of Police Commissioners and the Chief of Police have researched and reviewed this change and, after input from department staff, made the decision to replace the gray uniform.

The new uniform is a traditional Midnight Blue, incorporates the current uniform patch, will have embroidered rank insignias and officer names.

The current gray uniform will continue to be worn by the Department police officers for special occasions including the 911 Ceremony, Police Memorial Day event and similar special events.
