The National Weather Service is warning residents of a prolonged rainfall event this weekend, specifically tonight into Sunday night.
Forecast amounts expected to range from 1-1.75" across portions of the Lower Hudson Valley, to around 2-2.25" closer to the coast. Areas impacted are northeast New Jersey, the Lower Hudson Valley, and southern Connecticut. Timing:
- Light rain mainly in the afternoon and evening today.
- Periods of moderate to heavy rainfall tonight through Sunday night.
