Ridgefield Restoration Update: School is OPEN Tomorrow, 13 Crew in Town, 12% of Town Still Offline

In tonight's storm restoration update, First Selectman Rudy Marconi reported that 13 line crews have been working throughout the day and will continue through the night. "We remind you that devastation along the path of the macroburst was extensive, so please be patient. We expect a substantial amount of recovery by midnight tomorrow," said Marconi.

Eversource reports 1331 Ridgefield residents or 12% of the town is still offline.

School will be open tomorrow morning, Friday, May 18. In a note to parents, the District said that they anticipate all buses may be slightly late during the morning pickups. Marconi asks that parents escort and stay with their children at the bus stops and to meet them on return. In addition, check on your neighbors, particularly the elderly and those with disabilities.

Please note the following:

Be aware that intermittent power outages may occur during the restoration process.

Go to eversource.com for restoration timelines or call 800-286-2000. Eversource anticipates complete restoration in Ridgefield by Saturday.

Please allow Eversource and Town Highway to do their jobs without interruption to avoid restoration delays.
