Final Ridgefield Storm Update, 96% Restoration, Transfer Station Open Monday for Debris Removal

We are currently at 96% restoration. Most households will be restored by midnight tonight. In situations of extreme damage or where homes are in remote locations, restoration will take longer. If you are still without power, call Eversource at 800-286-2000, even if you have already done so.

This will be our last CTAlert Storm update. Until restoration is complete, updates and storm photos will be posted on the Ridgefield CERT Facebook page and the town website, ridgefieldct.org

The Ridgefield Parks & Recreation facility at 195 Danbury Road is open from 6 AM until 10 PM for showers, charging and WiFi. Sunday hours are 7 am to 10 pm. Water is available at Parks & Rec., hoses are located on the left side as you face the building. Bring your own containers.

The town transfer station will be open for residents to discard brush beginning on Monday, May 21 and ending on Saturday, May 26. Hours are 7:30AM to 3 PM. Commercial vehicles will be charged unless the resident whose debris is being dumped is present. No brush over 6 inches in diameter can be accepted. At your home, the meter box and the entrance cable that travels to the top of your house is your responsibility. Call your electrician.

Be aware that intermittent power outages may occur during the restoration process. Please continue to check on your neighbors especially the elderly and those who are disabled.
For emergencies call 911.
