Ridgefield Youth Council to Unveil Kindness Mural on Sunday, June 10

The Ridgefield Youth Commission is pleased to unveil its Kindness Mural on June 10.

The RYC has been working for a year to create this mural for the Ridgefield community. The abstract mural serves as a visible reminder for inclusiveness and kindness here in town. Joanne and Bruce Hunter, who own the Art Spot in Danbury, were commissioned for the project. They worked with dozens of members of the Ridgefield community in March to create the mural.

The event on June 10 will begin at 1:00pm. The Ridgefield Chorale will perform, as well as other musical performances, and speakers will include: Scotts Ridge Middle School principal, Tim Salem; Boys and Girls Club of Ridgefield Executive Director, Mike Flynn; Jason Cianciotto, Executive Director of The Tyler Clementi Foundation.

Please contact RYC Chairperson, Denise Qualey, for more information via email dqualey@kidsincrisis.org.
