Have You Seen A Dinosaur, Illustrated by Ridgefielder Catherine Heller, Now Available at Books on the Common

Ridgefield High School graduate Catherine Rose Heller is the illustrator of a newly released children's picture book Have You Seen a Dinosaur?, written by Danbury resident, Matthew Beres. It's the first book published by both Heller and Beres. The book is now available at Books on the Common, located at 404 Main Street in Ridgefield.

Heller's original watercolor illustrations serve as the backdrop of this educational book which combines history and humor, keeping both parents and children turning pages.

“This is the first picture book I’ve been commissioned to illustrate and I’ve loved every minute of working on it. It's been phenomenal to have had the opportunity to paint in a traditional watercolor medium and have the illustrations used to help tell a story,” says Heller.

Heller, a 2017 grad of Skidmore College with a degree in Fine and Studio Arts, is currently working and living in Brooklyn, NY. She is a design intern at ILIAD NYC. Heller specializes in graphic illustration, drawing, photography, scenic design, and painting.

“The book is so charming, and I feel the story and illustrations together can encourage kids to read and think creatively. I’ve loved having played a role in a project like that,” Heller remarks.
