RHS Inducts Members of the Class of 2019 into National Honor Society

Today, Ridgefield High School inducted 145 outstanding members of the Class of 2019 into the National Honor Society (NHS). Begun in 1921, NHS is a national organization recognizing high school students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service, and character. This year, Robert Carey will service as President, Angela Lin as Vice President, Carly Lieder as Secretary, and Anna Dorman as Tutoring Chair.

Throughout the year, these students will organize and administer a American Red Cross blood drive, homework clubs at our middle schools, food drives for the Women's Center of Greater Danbury, a Hair to Share event, and other community service initiatives.  However, these students have already made a mark on our town with their volunteer efforts at the Ridgefield Library, the Boys and Girls Club of Ridgefield, Play for Purpose, Ridgefield SafeRides, and other local charities and organizations.

Congratulations to all the newly-inducted members into NHS!  We look forward to seeing your efforts in our community and beyond. And thank you to RHS teachers, Ms. Amy Christofer and Ms. Elizabeth Karlan, for acting as advisors to the society.
